The second national meeting of LICET schools will be held in Verona: a two-day event featuring initiatives and projects involving Italian language schools for foreigners from all over Italy.
LICET schools – a national network of institutes specializing in the teaching of Italian language and culture to foreigners – will gather in Verona on 21 and 22 February 2026 for their second annual assembly.
The meetings will take place at the schools InClasse and L'Italiano con noitwo Verona-based institutions that have been active for years in teaching Italian to international students.
The assembly represents a key opportunity for dialogue among schools from across Italy, united by the shared goal of promoting the Italian language as a cultural, social, and personal experience, integrating formal study with the local area and everyday life.
Each LICET member school develops its educational activities with careful attention to the characteristics of its learners: cultural tourists, Erasmus students, resident foreign nationals, mobile professionals, and travelers eager to discover Italy through its language.
The courses, highly personalized, combine language learning with thematic stays, local activities, and experiential programs.
During the two-day assembly, central issues for the sector will be addressed, including:
- theintegration of language, culture, and experiential tourism;
- relations with Italian institutions and the issue of official recognition of Italian L2 schools;;
- strengthening collaborations with foreign universities and cultural institutions ;
- the proposal of seminar cycles offered free of charge to member schools and their students;
- procedures for applying for study visas for non-EU students;
- new proposals, shared projects, and future initiatives to consolidate and further develop the LICET network.
TheLICET Schools Association brings together Italian schools dedicated to teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. Each school maintains its own teaching autonomy while enhancing the unique features of its local territory.
