On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, the directors of the Italian language schools belonging to LICET Schools met in Verona for their annual national gathering. It was two days of focused work, open exchange, and in-person collaboration.
The first day began with visits to two member schools, InClasse and L'Italiano con noiThis was not a courtesy tour, but ahands-on opportunity to examine facilities, organisational models and teaching approaches. By observing each other’s environments directly, directors were able to discuss practical solutions, shared challenges and strategies that can be adapted across different contexts.
The afternoon continued with informal moments in the historic centre of Verona. For a network like ours, these occasions are not secondary.
They strengthen professional relationships built on trust and make it possible to exchange ideas in a frank and non-competitive way.
Sunday was dedicated to the working sessions. Key topics included the management of student visa procedures and dialogue with consular offices, cooperation with international agencies, promotional strategies for the association , and coordination on organisational matters affecting the sector. The discussion was practical and solution-oriented, grounded in the shared understanding that many of the challenges we face cannot be addressed effectively in isolation.
The Verona meeting once again confirmed the nature of the LICET Schools network: an association of independent schools that choose to collaborate, share tools and support one another, thereby strengthening the quality and stability of each individual institution.
The next gathering will take place in 2027, in Puglia, in the breathtaking Galatina: we are cetain it will be a new occasion of mutual enrichment, which is indispensable to face the challenges that our market poses daily.
